Two in a row for Liz Taylor on NE Women's Tour

The New England Women’s 9 Ball Pool Tour held its second stop of the 2009 season at the Green Room in Uxbridge, MA on Sunday, June 28th. We would like to welcome our three new players to the tour, Debra Nicoll, Jolie Brancaccio, and Nicole Netherland. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the NEWPT.

It was another great day for Liz Taylor as she defeated Nicole Christie, Norma Corneau, and Candi Rego to find herself in the hot seat match for the second straight tournament. Meeting her in a grueling hot seat match was Bonnie Saritelli. After a hard fought battle Liz emerged victorious, defeating Bonnie 7-2 to send her to the one-loss side.

Meanwhile, Candi Rego defeated Amanda Parhiala (7-2) to meet Stacie Bourbeau, who had just defeated Janet Tycks 7-2, in the quarterfinal match. Candi defeated Stacie in a fierce hill-hill battle to meet up with Bonnie Saritelli. Bonnie played well and defeated Candi 7-4, to once again meet Liz Taylor in the final match of the night.

Liz played very well with a back to back “break and run” and a “9 on the break” to defeat Bonnie 7-3. Congratulations to Bonnie Saritelli for her highest place finish every on the NEWPT. Also congratulations to our current point’s leader Liz Taylor, after winning her second straight tournament.
