Guppies Casual Dining & Billiards in Holland, MI saw the return of The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour on January19th & 20th. Guppies, which is the nicest room in western MI is owned and operated by Jerry & Candy Thomas along with a great staff that once again provided the perfect venue for the two-day event with their excellent equipment and great food which all the players enjoyed.

With Michigan weather looming large the field would be small but talent packed and included a top 32 WPBA pro (Rachael Abbink) a two time US Amateur champion (Tina Larsen) and a Junior National Champion (Liz Lovely). Once again the cream would rise to the top with Abbink posting wins over Nicole Palescuk 7-3, Gina Knight 7-3, Jacqui Herrera 7-6, taking her to Sunday to face Tina Larsen in the winner side final where she would lose a nail biter 7-6 sending her to the one loss side where she bounced back with a win over Liz lovely 7-4,setting up a rematch in the finals against Larsen.

The finals would prove to be a different story as Abbink rolled over Larsen by a score of 9-3 The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour would like to thank the owners of Guppies Jerry & Candy Thomas. The tours next stop is at Billiards on Main in Galesburg IL on April 5th&6th for a WPBA qualifier + 500.00 added event .
